Marcos Ambrose’s famous colours revived on daughter's Formula Ford
Tabitha Ambrose will contest 2025 Formula Ford season with PIRTEK naming rights
Ambrose senior won 2003, 2004 Supercars titles in PIRTEK colours
Supercars legend Marcos Ambrose’s famous V8 Ford Falcon livery will come to life on his daughter Tabitha’s Formula Ford.
Tabitha Ambrose, 19, will contest the 2025 Formula Ford season with PIRTEK naming rights.
Ambrose junior’s livery is a throwback to her father’s championship-winning looks from 2003 and 2004.
Marcos famously carried PIRTEK blue, red and yellow between 2001 and 2005 with Stone Brothers Racing, winning back-to-back titles.
The Tasmanian, who later carved out a career in NASCAR, won 28 races in PIRTEK-backed Falcons.
Daughter Tabitha now follows in her father’s footsteps, her racing career continuing in this year's Hi-Tec Oils, state Victorian and NSW, and national series.
“To have PIRTEK as the naming rights partner on our new Formula Ford and be announced as a PIRTEK ambassador is an incredible honour at this stage of my career,” the teenager said.
“Obviously I was not even born when dad won the Supercars championships in the PIRTEK Falcon for SBR, but that era was a memorable one for Ford fans and there is not a day go by where I don’t see images of that car or have someone want to talk to me about it.”
Marcos added: “I was constantly reminded that PIRTEK would be enthusiastic supporters of Tabitha if she chose to pursue a full-time motorsport career, but there were several personal hoops we had to jump through before having a serious discussion.
“Tabitha is passionate about the sport, has been prepared to do the hard work in and out of the car over the last couple of years and is not afraid to get her hands dirty and that’s why we are in the position we are today.
“It is quite humbling to see the covers taken off the PIRTEK Formula Ford today and to have so many of the PIRTEK family on the ground with us."
Supercars last week announced the renewal of its long-standing partnership with PIRTEK. The extension of the agreement comes in a milestone year for PIRTEK, as 2025 marks the company’s 45th anniversary of operation.
The partnership between PIRTEK and Supercars, which has been ongoing for 28 years, will see PIRTEK continue as the Official Hose, Pit Lane Fuel Hose and Pit Lane Air Hose Supplier of the Repco Supercars Championship for the next two years.
PIRTEK is also proud to return as the naming rights partner for the PIRTEK Victory Lane for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, as well as the return of the renowned PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge.
