The story so far
Wood wins it for Kiwis
Ryan Wood survived a pit stop headache to win his second career race on the big stage, overhauling teammate Chaz Mostert to win the ITM Taupō Super 440 finale. Broc Feeney finished second, with Mostert coming home third.
Kostecki dominates Race 8
Brodie Kostecki continued to assert his dominance on the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship, cruising to his fourth win of the season in Race 8 at the ITM Taupō Super 440. Kostecki had to make his #17 Ford wide at the start of the race, but was largely untroubled from that moment on to claim a crushing 16.1s win as Will Brown and Ryan Wood engaged in an epic late battle for second.
Sunday track action cancelled
Supercars made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel Sunday’s event day at the ITM Taupō Super 440, following the deterioration of weather conditions and the expected landfall of Cyclone Vaianu over the central North Island. Race 10 has been rescheduled to Friday in Christchurch.
Wood scores historic pole for Toyota
Ryan Wood led Toyota to an historic first Supercars pole, winning the best possible starting spot for Saturday's ITM Taupō Super 440 race. The #2 Mobil 1 Truck Assist Toyota will share the front row with Will Brown's #888 Red Bull Ampol Ford, with Broc Feeney and Brodie Kostecki just behind.
Kostecki blazes to Race 8 pole
Championship leader Brodie Kostecki put his Supercars rivals on notice with a crushing run to Boost Mobile Pole for the ITM Taupō Super 440 opener. Kostecki will share the Race 8 front row with Broc Feeney, who denied defending Jason Richards Trophy winner Matt Payne a front row start.
Wood puts Toyota on top
Ryan Wood ended the opening day of the ITM Taupō Super 440 on a high note for the Kiwi fans, ending the final practice session of the weekend fastest. On a day where it was announced he would extend his stay at Walkinshaw TWG Racing on a multi-year deal, the Wellingtonian's late flyer pipped Will Brown by just 0.0034s.
Le Brocq fastest in Practice 1
Jack Le Brocq fired the first shot at the ITM NZ Double Header, going fastest in first practice at the ITM Taupō Super 440. In the first competitive track running of two consecutive weekends of Supercars action in New Zealand, Matt Stone Racing driver Le Brocq ended up quickest through 25 minutes of practice.
Revised schedule amid forecast conditions from Cyclone Vaianu
Supercars announced changes to the track schedule for the ITM Taupō Super 440, due to the extreme weather forecast to impact New Zealand on Sunday. Saturday’s second race has been extended to 200km. All Saturday race sessions will be moved forward by 30 minutes. The 120km Race 8 will start at 12:20pm NZST. The 200km Race 9 will begin at 3:30pm NZST.
Kostecki leads as Supercars hits New Zealand
Brodie Kostecki took the lead in Melbourne, on the back of three race wins. Broc Feeney and Matt Payne led throughout the weekend, but incidents and DNFs dropped them back. The big winner was Cam Waters, who despite finishing no better than third in all seven races, sits 28 points off the lead.
