RACE Chairman Barclay Nettlefold has welcomed two new directors to the RACE Board, bringing fresh expertise to help drive the growth of Supercars in 2025 and beyond.

Effective 1 January 2025, Brian Learst joins as a Board Appointed Director.

Mr Learst, who acquired a significant share in Supercars in March 2024, brings extensive experience in events and hospitality from his time as CEO of QuintEvents, a global provider of premium experiences at the world's most prominent sports and entertainment events.

“Brian’s remarkable leadership in the events industry and his passion for motorsport make him a fantastic addition to the Board,” said Mr. Nettlefold.

“His expertise and global perspective will help us further elevate Supercars and engage new audiences both here in Australia and internationally.

In addition, Ryan Whitelegg has been appointed as the new Shareholder-Appointed Director representing Henslow’s associate company, Halo Adapt Pty Ltd. Ryan succeeds Stephen Macaw, who has stepped down after three years of dedicated service on the Board.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Stephen for his invaluable contributions during his tenure. His efforts have been instrumental in helping shape Supercars’ success, and we wish him all the best,” Mr. Nettlefold said.

“We are delighted to welcome Ryan to the Board and look forward to his expertise as we continue building on our momentum.”

The new appointments mark an exciting start to 2025.

The first major event of the year is the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour from 31 Jan - 2 Feb, drawing the world’s best endurance drivers to the spiritual home of Australian racing, Mount Panorama.

Attention then turns to the opening event of the revamped Repco Supercars Championship, the Sydney 500 from 21-23 February, under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park.

That event is the first of Supercars new era where the Repco Supercars Championship will be decided on the final lap of the year.

Tickets for both events are available through Supercars.com.
