Supercars is excited to announce that its popular international streaming product, SuperView, will be prominently featured on Brodie Kostecki's NASCAR entry for the upcoming race on August 13 in Indianapolis.
Erebus Motorsport driver Kostecki, who currently sits second in the Repco Supercars Championship standings behind teammate Will Brown, will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut next month in Indianapolis.
Kostecki's Cup Series debut will come in the Verizon 200 at the Brickyard, at the Indianapolis Road Course on August 13.
The event promises to be an electrifying affair with defending Supercars Champion Shane van Gisbergen, who turned heads by winning on his NASCAR debut earlier this month in Chicago also confirmed for the grid.
Van Gisbergen made a successful debut for Trackhouse’s Project91 program on the Chicago streets, becoming the first driver in 60 years to win on debut.
Supercars CEO Shane Howard said the Championship is thrilled to partner with Kostecki’s Richard Childress Racing #33 Camaro backed by MobileX where the SuperView logo will feature on the rear three-quarter of the Chevrolet.
“We’re very excited to be backing Brodie and his team on his NASCAR debut with the SuperView advertisement,” Howard said.
“Shane van Gisbergen’s spectacular victory earlier this month was seen around the globe, and we received more than 14-thousand expressions of interest in SuperView within days after the win.
“That resulted in more than two-million views on our website for our Townsville event one week later and 3.3 million YouTube minutes watched over the same period.
“This partnership presents an excellent opportunity for us to highlight the exceptional streaming quality and comprehensive coverage that SuperView offers to racing fans all around the world.”
SuperView, available outside of Australia and New Zealand on Supercars.com and YouTube, is renowned for delivering an unparalleled streaming experience, providing fans worldwide with live coverage of every practice, qualifying session, and race in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship.
Now, with its branding showcased on Kostecki's NASCAR entry, SuperView is set to capture the attention of a broader global audience, further expanding its reach and influence in the motorsports community.
"I'm absolutely stoked to be making my NASCAR Cup Series debut in Indianapolis! It's a dream come true, and I can't thank Supercars enough for their support through SuperView on our #33 Camaro,” Kostecki said.
"Having SuperView on our car adds an extra layer of excitement. It's a fantastic product that offers fans unmatched streaming quality and complete coverage of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship. I'm proud to carry their logo and introduce more racing enthusiasts to SuperView.
“With the excitement that followed Shane’s NASCAR win I hope I can make my mark and convert some NASCAR fans over to Supercars. I can’t wait to hit the track and give it everything I’ve got.”
The Perth-born driver will make his Cup Series debut a week ahead of the OTR SuperSprint alongside RCR regulars Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon.
Kostecki will be joined on track by 2009 Formula One champion Jenson Button (Rick Ware Racing), and ex-F1 driver and Le Mans winner Kamui Kobayashi (23XI Racing).
Kostecki is no stranger to NASCAR, having completed a stint in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in 2013 and 2014.
In 14 races, Kostecki claimed two poles, one track record and one top five finish.
Kostecki will head to Charlotte after the upcoming Beaurepaires Sydney SuperSprint before racing in Indianapolis.
The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight on July 28-30. Tickets are on sale now.
