David Reynolds will join Team 18 for the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, the team has confirmed.
Reynolds replaces Scott Pye, whose departure from the Mount Waverley team was confirmed on Friday.
The 2017 Bathurst winner arrives at Team 18 from Penrite Racing, where he raced from 2021 after departing Erebus.
The move reunites Reynolds with Mark Winterbottom, with the duo finishing first and third in 2015 during their final year as Prodrive (now Tickford) teammates.
Reynolds also reunites with Bruin Beasley and Dennis Huijser, who are Team 18’s Team Manager and Crew Chief respectively.
Reynolds, Beasley and Huijser worked together during their respective tenures at Erebus Motorsport, culminating in Bathurst victory in 2017.

Sunday’s announcement comes in a week Richie Stanaway was confirmed as Reynolds’ replacement at Penrite Racing, as well as Nick Percats’ departure from Walkinshaw Andretti United.
For Reynolds, it’s a third team in five seasons, having joined Grove Racing from Erebus at the beginning of 2021.
Reynolds — who last won a race in 2018 — joins a team which broke through for its first Supercars victory this year courtesy of Winterbottom in Darwin.
“This is just a really exciting time for me. I’ve worked with Bruin and Dennis when we won Bathurst. We get along really well and I respect everything they do,” the 38-year-old said.
“On top of that I get to race alongside Frosty and people forget that the last season we raced together, Mark and I finished first and third in the championship back in 2015.
“I can’t thank Charlie enough. I’ve always admired Charlie and how he conducts himself and his team.
Reynolds has two podiums and a pole in 2023
"Funnily enough I’ve always had this feeling that maybe one day I’d race for Charlie, I cannot wait to join him and his team.”
Schwerkolt added: "We are excited to welcome David Reynolds to Team 18 as we gear up for the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship season.
“David's track record, both in terms of his accomplishments and his extensive knowledge of the sport is impressive, and he will be a great fit for the culture we have built at Team 18.
“His addition to the team reflects our pursuit of on-track success and our commitment to secure high-class talent to our organisation.
“We look forward to a strong partnership and a bright future together.”
The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship resumes at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 on September 15-17.
