Having secured fifth in the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship in the final race of the season, Thomas Randle has shifted his gaze to scoring an "unreal" berth in the first ever Finals Series.

Randle survived a ding-dong battle for the podium in Sunday's VAILO Adelaide 500 finale to finish third, which marked his third trophy of the season.

The Tickford Racing driver finished in the top 10 in eight of the final 12 races to help Tickford Racing finish second in the teams' championship, which was the Ford squad's best finish since 2015.

Speaking after Sunday's race, Randle didn't get too far ahead of himself when looking at 2025, which will see the calendar expand from 12 to 13 rounds, and 24 to 34 races.

Crucially, 2025 will see the introduction a new three-pronged championship, which will culminate in an elimination Finals Series and Grand Final in Adelaide.

"I mean, that would be unreal," replied Randle when asked about scoring a 2025 Finals berth.

"But I mean, it's such a super competitive championship. So we've just got to be on our A-game all year.

"And as we know, there's so many different format changes next year with, there's 34 races next year. We've got different tyre compounds across each race, across some of the events. We've got Friday races.

"So yeah, we're going to have to be on our A-game."

In 2025, the top 10 drivers will go into the final three rounds in the title hunt, with six drivers eliminated across Rounds 11 and 12 at Surfers Paradise and Sandown to produce a championship four in Adelaide.

Randle could be one to watch in Adelaide should he clinch a top four spot in 12 months' time, given he has two podiums in his last four starts at the street circuit, and an average finish of 5.25.

"I think everyone's gonna just keep stepping it up. It just gets more and more competitive each year," Randle said.

"So it's a really nice way to end the year. Having both drivers in our team in the top five in the championship, second in the points for Tickford.

"But yeah, it would be amazing to arrive here in 12 months time, being in that top four contention. But who knows? You know, we'll just put our best foot forward and see how we go."

Randle will commence his 2025 campaign in Sydney next February. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
