Three Eseries entries for MSR

Supercars has confirmed Matt Stone Racing will have three cars in the All Stars Eseries, taking the total number of entries to 25.
A question mark had surrounded what would happen with MSR’s #34 entry, which is shared at Supercars level between rookies Zane Goddard and Jake Kostecki per the team’s SuperLite initiative.
It has been confirmed both 20-year-olds will be allowed to take part in all Eseries events, along with the Queensland squad’s #35 driver Garry Jacobson.
The news has been welcomed by Goddard, who made a solid main game debut at Adelaide last month to sit 16th in the championship.
“It could definitely bring in some bragging rights coming into June racing, hang it over some of the older dudes,” Goddard laughed to Supercars.com.
“But it will be fun, I’m sure everyone’s race craft will still be good, it will just be who’s fast and who sort of struggles with it.
“As a show, obviously they did the F1 one last week and it was pretty funny to watch so as long as we keep it a good spectacle and it stays a bit light-hearted, I think it will be pretty cool.”

Goddard doesn’t have prior experience on the iRacing platform but has had the chance to try out some impressive simulator equipment, particularly during his time in the European open-wheel scene in 2016-17.
“I have done a fair bit of sim,” he said.
“I haven’t done iRacing before though, I only have really done rFactor and that sort of stuff.
“When I was over in Europe they utilised it a lot, like I was on the sim probably every week practising tracks here and there and I also got to have a go on the Renault Formula 1 simulator.
“I haven’t done iRacing but yeah obviously there’s some pretty good guys in the field on it, a lot of them have set-ups at home that they spend all of the time on.
“Some people I think are going to be pretty funny to watch and some people will be pretty impressive to watch, so we’ll wait and see.”
Broadcast on Fox Sports and Kayo, the All Stars Eseries will begin April 8 with races at Phillip Island and Monza.
