Supercars will head to Taupō for the first time in 2024
The inaugural ITM Taupō event will take place from April 19-21
Tickets will go on sale at 8:00am AEDT Thursday, November 9
Tickets for the Repco Supercars Championship’s return to New Zealand and the championship’s inaugural event in Taupō go on sale Thursday, as the championship’s return across the ditch inches closer.
Supercars will race at Taupō International Motorsport Park for the first time from April 19-21, 2024, marking the third different NZ venue to host a championship round after Pukekohe Park Raceway and the Hamilton street circuit.
Tickets for the highly-anticipated inaugural Supercars race at Taupō will go on sale Thursday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m. NZDT.
Early Bird pricing for Taupō Supercars tickets will be available through Wednesday, December 16.
Along with Platinum and Silver level grandstand seating options, single day and three-day Trackside General Admission tickets will be available purchase, with the option to add paddock access to multi-day tickets.
Kids 12 years and under can attend the Taupō event for free with a paying adult.
Tickets for the inaugural event will be available via Ticketek, Supercars’ official ticketing partner.
The 3.32-kilometre circuit, located just northeast of Lake Taupō in the centre of the North Island, will become the 35th circuit to host Australasia’s premier racing category and seventh venue outside Australian shores.
At least four Kiwis are set to contest the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, led by Brad Jones Racing’s Andre Heimgartner and 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 winner Richie Stanaway, who returns to full-time racing at Grove Racing.
Grove Racing will sport an all-Kiwi line-up next year with impressive 21-year old Matt Payne lining up alongside Stanaway, with newcomer Ryan Wood joining the championship with Walkinshaw Andretti United.
