Triple Eight Race Engineering and Tickford Racing have been fined over end of race procedure breaches after Saturday's race at the VAILO Adelaide 500.

Broc Feeney, Will Brown and Cam Waters completed the Race 23 podium on Saturday, with Brown clinching the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship.

Triple Eight and Tickford have since been fined $2000 per entry after being found in breach of the event-specific end of race procedure.

Per instructions to competitors, at the end of Race 23 and after receiving the chequered flag, all cars must complete a slowdown lap and enter pit lane, except the top three.

The top three must continue past pit entry to pit straight and park in front of their respective place boards under Parc Fermé conditions, where TV interviews would then commence.

On Saturday, the top three cars instead came into pit lane, and parked at pit exit near the podium.

The two teams were found in breach, with stewards confirming the fines in a later bulletin. The result from the race will stand.

"The Stewards imposed a fine of $4,000 on Triple Eight Racing and a fine of $2,000 on Tickford Racing for breaches of End of Race Procedure by Cars 88, 87 and 6," the stewards report read.

There were two in-race penalties handed out; Bryce Fullwood's five-second penalty for a false start, and Cooper Murray's 15-second penalty over contact with Mark Winterbottom.

The report adds: "The Stewards imposed a 5 second Time Penalty on Car 14 for a false start.

"The Stewards imposed a 15 second Time Penalty on Car 9 for Careless Driving following an incident at Turn 7 on Lap 29 when Car 9 attempted an inside overtake on Car 18. Car 9 had insufficient overlap and made contact with the rear right of Car 18 causing Car 18 to spin and lose positions."

The Repco Supercars Championship will conclude on Sunday with Boost Mobile Qualifying, the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout, and Race 24.
