FAVOURITES

Round 2 of the Eseries will see the All Stars and Pro Series grids join forces for a 41-lap enduro at Sandown.

Brodie Kostecki cruised to victory in the Winton opener.

The Erebus Motorsport driver, who won last year’s All Stars title, won from pole.

Kostecki will be teaming up with Erebus Academy talent Jarrad Filsell at Sandown, with the young driver scoring a podium at Winton last week.

The duo will prove hard to beat, the previously combined to win a thrilling Cash Converters Supercars Eseries Bathurst enduro last season.

Defending Pro Series champion Dayne Warren continued his dominant form, with the Walkinshaw Andretti United gamer topping both qualifying and race sessions at the Winton opener.

Warren will share the Mobil 1 Appliances Online Racing Holden with Jayden Ojeda, who has plenty of real-life experience at Mount Panorama.

Despite Ojeda struggling in last year’s series, the former Super2 driver finished eighth in Winton last week.

Third-place finisher Andre Heimgartner will share the Brad Jones Racing Commodore with Pro Series contender Jake Burton.

Burton finished fourth at Winton and was a consistent top performer last season.

The duo will be likely front runners at Sandown, both keen to score valuable points.

THE FORM SEEKERS

Justin Ruggier made a promising start to his 2022 campaign, driving the Cash Converters Mustang to second behind Kostecki.

The former Super2 talent will share his Ford with Pro Series gamer Brenton Hobson, who finished outside the top ten in Winton.

Ruggier will be looking to keep his good form going to stay within striking distance of the defending All Stars champion.

Matt Stone Racing’s Jack Le Broc will be looking to claw his way up through the top 10 following a strong showing in Winton.

He teams up with Andrew Gilliam who finished eighth in the Bathurst enduro last season.

THE ROUGHIES

Aaron Borg impressed to finish inside the top five last week; however his Brad Jones Racing teammate Madison Downs had an uncharacteristic result of ninth.

Tickford Racing’s Jake Kostecki could be an outside chance to claim victory in the enduro.

Kostecki will team up with pro gamer Jordan Caruso, who finished tenth at Winton.

Super2 talent Jordan Boys joins the All Stars line-up for Repco Racing alongside Corey Shepherd.

Shepherd finished fifth in Winton, making him a strong chance for another strong result in Sandown.
