Yates returns to Supercars broadcast

Jess Yates will return to host the Supercars broadcast this weekend for the first time since the birth of her second child.

Returning earlier than initially expected, the popular broadcaster has travelled with her young son to South Australia, arriving on Friday afternoon.

Yates and her husband Luke Egan welcomed Samuel Lewis in late March with the Fox Sports host missing the Tasmania SuperSprint as planned.

The five-week-old is the couple’s second child, joining their eight-year-old daughter, Isabella.

Yates announced she and Egan were expecting back in December last year.

Supercars legend Marcos Ambrose stepped into the broadcast team at Symmons Plains in the absence of Yates and Craig Lowndes.

Re-joining the coverage at Tailem Bend, Yates will spearhead the OTR SuperSprint broadcast with Craig Lowndes returning to the reporting team.

The popular Fox Sports host has skippered Supercars broadcasts since 2015.

The 2021 season marks her seventh season as the hosting face of the category.

The Repco Supercars Championship field will return to The Bend Motorsport Park this weekend the OTR

SuperSprint across May 7-9. Tickets are on sale now.

The event will be broadcast live on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo with highlights on 7 and 7 Plus.
