The longest races of the year are here, and the grid is set. So, we're posing the question: Which 2024 enduro pairing is the strongest?
The Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000, the only two-driver races of the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, will be contested by 26 cars.
Of the 26 pairings locked in for Sandown and Bathurst, there are a staggering 19 new combinations. The 24 full-time entries will also be joined by wildcards from Triple Eight Race Engineering and Matt Chahda Motorsport.
Triple Eight (Broc Feeney/Jamie Whincup), Tickford Racing (Cam Waters/James Moffat), Walkinshaw Andretti United (Chaz Mostert/Lee Holdsworth), Dick Johnson Racing (Anton De Pasquale/Tony D'Alberto), Team 18 (Mark Winterbottom/Michael Caruso) and Brad Jones Racing (Macauley Jones/Jordan Boys) have continuity year-on-year, while Jayden Ojeda reunites with Jack Le Brocq at Erebus Motorsport.
Of the 26 pairings, 16 have at least one driver who has stood on the Bathurst podium before. Nine pairings have a Bathurst winner, while there is only one combination with two Bathurst winners. That combination looms as one of the favourites: 2021 winners Mostert and Holdsworth.
There are also seven Sandown winners on the grid, with 2023 victors Feeney and Whincup returning in 2024.

This poll will close on Sunday September 8, one week out from the Penrite Oil Sandown 500.
