Cameron McLeod was a revelation in last year's Super3 Series, and returns in 2024 with a Triple Eight-built, PremiAir Racing-run Holden ZB Commodore in Super2.
The third-generation racer opened a new chapter in his family's touring car racing history when he made his debut in the Dunlop Super3 Series last year.
The teen was quick, but raced without luck as he ultimately settled for third overall, his season undone by a double DNF at Sandown.
McLeod is the son of longtime racer and industry veteran Ryan, who claimed pole position for the inaugural second-tier race in 2000, and the grandson of 1987 Bathurst 1000 winner Peter.
Starting off in karting, McLeod moved into car racing in 2020 at age 15 in state level Formula Ford in Queensland, as well as campaigning a Suzuki Swift in local sedan events.
He continued racing in state level Formula Ford in both Queensland and New South Wales in 2021, but made the big leap mid-year to England to race in the final three rounds of the British Formula 4 Championship, where he took a podium finish on debut at Silverstone.
McLeod returned home to compete in the national Formula Ford Series in which he finished third overall and claimed the Privateer award, his season headlined by a pair of race wins and the round win at Morgan Park.
He also built up his sedan experience in the last 12 months, finishing second in class at the 2022 Bathurst 6 Hour, and second in class at the 2023 Dubai 24 Hour.
