After two Great Race tilts with Jack Smith and Brad Jones Racing, Porsche star Jaxon Evans joins the main game in 2024.
Evans was one of seven Bathurst debutants on the 2022 Bathurst grid, but was arguably the most decorated. He returned for 2023, and motored through the field at Sandown and Bathurst to put the Supercars paddock on notice.
He is a third-generation Kiwi racer who started out in Australia and later took his his sports car career to Europe.
Evans also competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship and select races of the NLS Nürburgring Endurance Series.
Evans competed the 2014 New Zealand KZ2 Kart Championship and finished second. At 17, he was invited to test a Porsche 911 Cup car at Queensland Raceway. At 22, he won the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup Championship.
He jetted off to Europe in 2019 and joined the Porsche Junior program, and finished as the number one rookie in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2019 before winning the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup France title.
Evans also made his FIA World Endurance Championship debut in 2020, and christened the occasion with third in the GTE-AM class.
He signed as a full-time driver for Dempsey Proton Racing in 2021 and competed in the full FIA WEC season, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
