Liam McAdam is one of Australia’s rising motorsport talents, launching a full season campaign of the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series with Eggleston Motorsport in 2016. McAdam and Eggleston Motorsport proved to be a successful combination in 2015, winning the Kumho V8 Touring Car Championship last year on debut after recording three lap records and six straight race wins in the final two rounds of the season.
Focus soon turned to the Dunlop Series, with Eggleston Motorsport announcing McAdam would join the team’s Dunlop Series driver line-up this year. As a prelude to the young gun’s 2016 campaign, McAdam received the call-up to steer the team’s fourth car at the final two rounds of the 2015 season, where he earned solid results while getting a taste of the competition before his planned full-time assault.
Stepping into his father’s old Rotax Superkart at the age of 12, success soon followed McAdam, winning the Queensland Championship in his first year, and again in 2011. After a stint in Formula Vee, McAdam then entered the Victorian Formula Ford Championship in 2013 before graduating to the national championship the following year, finishing the season 7th.
