Ryan Gilroy makes his move onto the Supercars ladder as part of an expanded and rebranded AIM Motorsport squad in 2023.
While Zane Morse will lead the team's fortunes with its Dunlop Super2 Series entry, Gilroy will pilot its Triple Eight-built Holden Commodore VF for his debut season of Super3.
A late arrival to karting compared to some of his contemporaries, Gilroy grew up a fan of motorsport but didn't start racing himself until his mid-teens. He took his first steps into car racing in 2020 with former racer Phil Alexander's Raceway Track Time group, before joining the Toyota GAZOO Racing Australia 86 Series grid in 2021.
Gilroy claimed a pair of breakthrough podium finishes in the category at the end of 2022, taking a pair of second placings in dismally wet conditions at Mount Panorama.
In addition to racing a Toyota 86 for the Sieders Racing Team, Gilroy also drove for the team at The Bend's round of last year's V8 SuperUte Series, claiming a best race finish of third place.
