These rankings are not solely based on championship standings; rather, they reflect a driver’s performance relative to teammates, their cars and expectations.

An action-packed and competitive 2024 Repco Supercars Championship saw several drivers make names for themselves, while others improved their standing as big names of the sport.

After 12 rounds and 24 races, Supercars.com picked out the 10 best drivers of 2024, counting down from 10 and ending with our best of the season.

There were some changes from the overall standings, but the best of the lot duly took out top spot. However, what about the rest?

Honourable mention

The only driver to miss out on our top 10, who sat in the top 10 in the points, was Andre Heimgartner. The Brad Jones Racing driver was one of the eight winners in 2024, and finished 10th overall. However, in his other 23 starts, Heimgartner had a 12.83 average finish in what was an other tough year for BJR.

10) Will Davison

The Shell V-Power Racing Team veteran claimed one podium, as he did in 2023, but beat Anton De Pasquale in the standings for the second time, and finished every single race. Davison's final race of the year was arguably his best, fighting for the podium in Adelaide. He also claimed a Sydney pole, and was briefly in with a shout to win in Townsville.

8) Matt Payne

Matt Payne's sophomore season was a rollercoaster, but with poles and a win in Townsville, he showed he's one of the best on his day. The Kiwi also claimed podiums at the Grand Prix and Sydney, and should have finished much higher than sixth overall.

Thomas Randle has been a success story of Gen3, finishing fifth after coming home 13th in 2023. Randle claimed a pole in Tasmania and helped Tickford Racing to its first one-two finish since 2017. A win seems just around the corner for the 2020 Super2 champ.

6) Nick Percat

Perhaps the redemption story of 2024, Nick Percat was superb for Matt Stone Racing. He won at the Grand Prix and Tasmania, and while they were his only trips to the podium in 2024, Percat proved to many that he wasn't a spent force after a horror run at Walkinshaw Andretti United.

5) Brodie Kostecki

The 2023 champion missed the first two rounds of the season, but once driver and team got their act together, Brodis Kostecki was sublime. He dominated at Bathurst and the Gold Coast, claiming wins and poles at both events, and could have ended 2024 with Adelaide glory had things gone his way.

4) Broc Feeney

feeney KB1 2345

Broc Feeney finished second with five poles and six wins, but was let down on poor days in a year his teammate didn't put a foot wrong. Still, Feeney was super fast and untouchable at times, destroying the field in Adelaide, sweeping Darwin and putting in one of the greatest non-win performances we've seen at Mount Panorama.

2) Chaz Mostert

mostert KB2 9179

Chaz Mostert pieced together a brilliant campaign, dragging an erroneous Walkinshaw Andretti United into several winning positions, and nearly to the final round. Mostert won three races and claimed a first pole in three years, and before the enduros, was 63 points from the lead. While it didn't pan out the way he'd hoped, Mostert put his rivals on notice.
