Adelaide 500 support categories locked in

The return of the Adelaide 500 is boosted by a bumper line-up of on-track racing categories.

The VALO Adelaide 500, which will be held on December 1-4, was launched on Tuesday.

The VALO Adelaide 500 will conclude the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship.

Supercars will be supported by the Dunlop Series, with the Super2 and Super3 titles to be decided in Adelaide.

Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS will also tackle the Adelaide streets.

Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters and the S5000 Tasman Series round out on on track action.

Airtime FMX and the Hot Wheels Stunt Team will complement the on-track motorsport categories.

Fans will be thrilled in the event precinct between sessions with their breath-taking stunts in all-new shows.

It was also confirmed Tuesday that the likes of The Killers, Jimmy Barnes and Lime Cordiale will perform.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday will conclude with blockbuster concerts of local and international acts.

"The world class line-up is testament to the quality and popularity of this event," Supercars Hall of Famer and racing legend Mark Skaife said.

"The Adelaide Street Circuit is an iconic track and it’s fantastic to see the Repco Supercars Championship back in Adelaide to close out our season.

"The organisers are working hard to bring four days of adrenalin-filled action for the motorsport fans of South Australia and once again staging one of our most popular signature events."
