Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander will be presented their 2020 Bathurst 1000 winners’ plaque on Tuesday.

Van Gisbergen and Tander won the 2020 race last October, with the former holding off Cameron Waters in a thrilling battle.

It marked van Gisbergen’s first win, and Tander’s fourth and first since 2011.

The two drivers will be present at the Rail Museum on Havannah Street from 1:00pm AEDT on Tuesday 30 November ahead of this weekend’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

Van Gisbergen and Tander will be presented with their winners’ plaque, which will be added to the famous Victor's Walk in Russell Street.

A black and white chequered footpath marks the 20 metre long recognition to the winners of the Great Race.

The winners’ traditional plaque is Bathurst’s equivalent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 64th running of the Great Race will officially commence on Tuesday, with Supercars to hit the track on Thursday.

The historic six-day event will feature 10 different racing categories, with Mount Panorama to stage the event for the first time in December.

The Repco Bathurst 1000 will also be the season finale of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.

The Seven Network will provide live free to air coverage of the event. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
