Australian global Porsche star Matt Campbell will spearhead a trio of factory drivers at the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour.

Campbell, the 2019 Bathurst 12 Hour winner, will be joined by fellow Porsche stars Mathieu Jaminet and Thomas Preining.

The trio will race the iconic ‘Grello’ colours on a Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Last year, it was announced that Melbourne-based EMA Motorsport will combine with Manthey for this year’s race.

Campbell, Jaminet and Preining form arguably one of the strongest line-ups on the grid.

Second-year 12 Hour driver Preining, 24, scored a pair of victories in DTM last year.

Preining joins DTM rivals Sheldon van der Linde and Maximilian Götz on the 2023 12 Hour grid

Jaminet — who contested last year’s 24 Hours of Spa with Campbell — also won a IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship class title with the Australian.

Next month’s 12 Hour will be Jaminet’s third Bathurst start.

Campbell and Jaminet finished fourth in 2020 after the former scored a stunning pole position.

The Queenslander scored Pro-Am victory at Mount Panorama in 2017 and a class podium in 2018.

Come 2019, and Campbell helped Porsche to a memorable overall victory, which was the first for Porsche.

Campbell — who raced alongside David Reynolds in last year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 — has also been called up for Penske’s IMSA Porsche 963 programme.

The 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia champion will race at the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona.

He will team up with former Formula 1 driver Felipe Nasr and Michael Christensen before returning to Australia.

This year’s Bathurst 12 Hour will see the 991.2 model make one of its final outings in top-flight international competition.

Manthey EMA will confirm further plans for the 2023 season in the coming weeks.
