Holden will maintain a factory presence in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship until at least the end of 2021.

The car company has extended its deal with Triple Eight for two more years, having anointed the Queensland squad as its factory team in 2017.

Triple Eight has also confirmed a two-year extension of its title partnership with Red Bull, which has been its primary sponsor since 2013.

The news was announced by the team’s commercial operations manager and co-owner Jessica Dane on Supercars Trackside.

“Red Bull and Holden have both confirmed that they’re extending their partnership for another two years with us,” she said.

“So the Red Bull Holden Racing Team will be on the grid as you see it until at least the end of 2021, which is fantastic.”

Red Bull HRT is also set to go into next year with an unchanged driver line-up, with Jamie Whincup and Shane van Gisbergen both under contract until the end of 2020.
