Supercars has arrived on the Gold Coast to much fanfare on Wednesday, with the annual Transporters on Tedder seeing fans lining the streets for the big rigs of Supercars to transit through Main Beach.

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 fires up on Friday with three days of on and off-track action for the 30th anniversary of Supercars racing on the streets of Surfers Paradise.

Over $50 million worth of Supercars and equipment will bump in to Macintosh Island today as teams begin setting up for the penultimate event on the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship calendar.

It’s a crucial weekend for championship contenders Broc Feeney and Chaz Mostert, who are looking to claw back ground on championship leader Will Brown.

Carrara local Feeney and Runaway Bay-based Mostert are second and third in the title fight with just this weekend and November’s Adelaide 500 remaining.

"To see so many people in around, even in here today is awesome," Feeney told media.

"So I think it's going to be a big weekend. I think we had over 200,000 last year. That's insane for a three-day sports event. So I'm excited to be back."

Fellow Gold Coast resident James Golding got the party started early by jumping on the DJ decks at the transporter parade fan zone. Golding has come on strong in the second half of 2024 and currently sits fifth in the championship with two rounds to go.

"It's awesome to hype up the weekend, seeing so many people around," Golding said.

"I've seen the trucks roll through and all on the horn and everyone was up and about, so it's fantastic to see.

"Obviously the weather's put it on as well, so it's going to be a great weekend all round. Gold Coast is one of the best ones on the calendar, so I can't wait to get into it."

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 on October 25-27. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

Live coverage can be found on Foxtel, with live streaming available on Kayo. The Seven Network will take free to air coverage. International viewers can follow all the action on Superview.
