The upcoming Inside Line docuseries centred on Walkinshaw Andretti United will give viewers insight into the team's "make-or-break" 2020 season, according to team boss Bruce Stewart.

The six-part Inside Line – A season with Walkinshaw Andretti United series will premiere on the Seven Network, Fox Sports 506 and Kayo.

Episode one of the six-part Supercars documentary will be broadcast on Foxtel (Fox Sports 506) and streamed on Kayo on Friday October 29 at 8:15pm AEDT.

The second instalment will follow episode one on Fox Sports 506 on Friday evening at 9:15pm AEDT.

The Seven Network will show the first episode on Saturday October 30 at 2:00pm AEDT on 7mate and 7Plus.

Episode one will be shown on encore next week on 7mate and 7plus in all capital cities at 1.30pm and 1.00pm on Wednesday.

Seven will screen the remaining episodes over the coming weeks.

WAU was chosen by Supercars as the subject of the second series.

The Holden squad entered 2020 amid a raft of major changes, including the team's first all-new driver line-up in nearly a decade.

Among the most highly anticipated elements of the series are Chaz Mostert’s maiden year with the team and the effects of the turbulent COVID-19 impacted season.

WAU was one of five Victorian-based Supercars teams to make the sudden move to NSW last July.

What followed was a 105-day stint on the road, making for a difficult time for team members, who were separated from their families.

Stewart says the series will show the strain of 2020, but also team members' strength to overcome it.

"I think the fans can expect a really good behind-the-scenes look into what could have been a make-or-break situation for us," Stewart told Supercars.com.

"We had 18 people on the road, living in each other's pockets, each with family back in Melbourne.

"Everyone was dealing with issues at home or trying to keep their loved ones in a good place.

"For us, it was amazing because it really bonded our team extraordinarily well.

"You get a really good insight into how a team works beyond the facade of what you might see on TV, the presentation of a race weekend, and the authentic nature of the people who make the team run.

"So often you only hear from one or two people, but in the show, you get an in-depth look at everyone throughout the team.

"There is a little bit of colourful language, that I hope they managed to bleep out, but also I hope that fans can understand that it's part of the emotion of what we were all going through.

"There are cool insights into the personalities and in particular Chaz’s humour and Bryce’s natural, regional kid personality."

As for the team being followed by a film crew throughout last year, Stewart added: "The docuseries was great to have around, and you actually just forgot it was there.

"I think that's the beauty and also part of the danger in it.

"It will be an important moment in time for us, where we took a step and really started to stand up again.

"We talk about crawl, walk run in our progression, and this was the season where the team was on the canvas, getting up and starting to crawl again and starting to find itself.

"Then hopefully, this year, we're starting to walk and get race wins and more eagerly at the front in next year, that’s when we go to a run."

WAU will recommence its 2021 campaign at the Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight from October 29.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will continue at next weekend’s Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight. Tickets for all four upcoming Sydney events are on sale now.

All sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed via Kayo. The Seven Network will broadcast live from 3:30pm AEDT on Saturday and 12:30pm AEDT on Sunday.
