Craig Lowndes is holding few doubts about scoring a record-extending 15th Bathurst podium next weekend.
Lowndes has shifted back into the lead driver role for the first time in four years.
The seven-time winner will share a Triple Eight wildcard with rookie Declan Fraser.
Lowndes and Fraser tested their Supercheap Auto-backed Holden for a third and final time on Wednesday.
The last time Lowndes spearheaded a car, he won with Steven Richards in 2018.
Dual finishes of fourth in 2019 and 2021 bookended a shock DNF in 2020 with Jamie Whincup.
Lowndes, who will make his 29th consecutive start, is confident he and Fraser can rock the establishment.
“We’ve got a good shot at a podium,” Lowndes told Supercars.com.
“No doubt you need a bit of luck, you need a fast car.
“I think Declan and I are similar in how we like the car, which is really good.
“He has to put his little seat insert in, so there’s some time loss in driver changes.
“All in all, I’m positive next weekend will go really well.
The Lowndes/Fraser entry is one of three wildcards entered in this year’s race.
Greg Murphy and Richie Stanaway have been coaxed out of retirement by Erebus Motorsport.

Matt Chahda and Jaylyn Robotham, oft Super2 rivals, will share a Chahda-run Commodore.
Wildcards have proven unsuccessful on the results sheet, but Triple Eight has form of making them work.
The team famously combined international stars Andy Priaulx and Mattias Ekstrom in 2013.
Briton Priaulx and Swede Ekstrom threatened the top five and came home 10th.
Last year, Broc Feeney ran in the top 10 in the closing laps before he crashed across the top.
Should Lowndes bring home a 15th podium, he would go three clear of late mentor Peter Brock, Jim Richards and Larry Perkins (12 each).
It would also mean Fraser may have to follow up on a pre-Bathurst bet.
The current Super2 points leader has wagered a tattoo should he bring home Bathurst silverware.
“I’m going to get a tattoo,” Fraser recently told Supercars.com.
“I said even if I got a podium I would get a tattoo, I'm going to have to try and get Roland [Dane] to get another one on the other side of his arm.
“It’s something to remember it by and thought it was a little bit funny.
“My housemate and I had to deal that if I got a podium, I'd get a tattoo. He won't hold up his end, he won't get one with me. It will just be me!
“I’ll have to figure out what to get when I get there, we still have a lot of work to do before we even think about the podium at the moment.”
Cars will hit the track at Mount Panorama next Thursday.
Triple Eight will unveil the #888 race livery on Tuesday October 4.
Tickets for the Repco Bathurst 1000 are available on Supercars.com and Ticketek.
