Will Brown has beaten teammate Broc Feeney to the Larry Perkins Trophy after an absorbing weekend of racing at Albert Park.

Heading into Sunday's finale, Brown led Feeney by three points, with a maximum of 80 remaining. Brown, who won Friday's race, raced from ninth to second to beat Feeney by just eight points after four thrilling races.

Nick Percat won the finale for Matt Stone Racing, and ended up third in the weekend standings.

"I was pretty keen to get the Larry Perkins Trophy. It means a lot to me," said Brown, who raced with Larry's son Jack between 2021 and 2023 with Erebus Motorsport.

"I became a great mate with Jack and met Larry through that. There's been some great names to win this trophy."

Brown now has a 17-point lead over Feeney in the championship, with Chaz Mostert 102 points down. Percat is fourth, 170 points behind.

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship returns to New Zealand on April 19-21 for the ITM Taupō Super400. Fans planning on attending the event are being encouraged to lock in ticketing options.
