The Penrite Racing banner will return in 2022, with Grove Racing unveiling the livery for its two Ford Mustang Supercars.

Australian oil company Penrite has taken naming rights of Grove Racing in 2022 and beyond in a renewed multi-year deal.

David Reynolds campaigned under Penrite colours in his first season with the team last year.

Penrite steps up in 2022, backing the Reynolds and Lee Holdsworth cars for the upcoming season.

The team also confirmed recruit Holdsworth will race with the #10 in his first full-time campaign since 2020.

The 2022 season marks the first for the team under its sole Grove ownership, with the Kelly family exiting at the end of 2021.

The two Mustangs will carry the black, red and gold colours synonymous with Penrite.

The Ford squad boasts the most experienced line-up on the 2022 grid with regards to race starts, with Reynolds and Holdsworth combining for over 800 starts.

Grove Racing is one of only two teams, with Walkinshaw Andretti United, to have two Bathurst winners in its driving line-up.

Reynolds and Holdsworth were joined by Australian media personality Sam Kekovich on Australia Day for the livery launch.

"To have an iconic Australian brand like Penrite to be a part of Grove Racing’s first full year at the helm of our Supercars team is fantastic," Grove Racing owner Stephen Grove said.

"Penrite is a well-respected Australian company who Grove Racing have worked with in 2021 and for them now to step up to support both of our cars is a great opportunity for our team to assist in growing the Penrite brand.

"Like the Grove Group, Penrite is a family-owned Australian company that shares the same business values and there are strong synergies between our two organisations.

"Like all Supercars team, we want to win, and that will always be the aim, but first and foremost, we want to continue to grow, develop our Ford Mustangs and work our way up the grid.

"This year is about moving forward, improving the business, advancing the team and creating a sustainable and competitive future."

General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Penrite Oils Toby Dymond was excited to expand the oil company’s backing of Grove Racing.

"Penrite is a proudly Australian family-owned business and we could not be happier to partner up with a like-minded, locally-owned Supercars race team," Dymond said.

"Australian manufacturing is very important to Penrite, so to be in a position to increase our support of a self-sufficient Supercars team like the Groves in a dream relationship.

"It is fantastic that we are continuing our long association with Supercars, and with our driver David Reynolds who is regarded as one of the best in the business.

"And now to have reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Lee Holdsworth in our team and in our colours, we feel very fortunate, and we can’t wait for the season to start at Sydney Motorsport Park."

Reynolds and Holdsworth will make their first appearance as teammates in Sydney in March.
