Penrite Racing has revealed its striking new warpaint for the first season of the Gen3 era.

The team uncovered its first new cars built by Grove Racing on Friday.

It comes after Blanchard Racing Team revealed its 2023 car, which it shook down on Wednesday.

The 2023 season will be the second for Grove Racing under the Penrite Racing banner.

The team’s two Ford Mustangs will carry white and red highlights atop Penrite Oil branding.

Matt Payne will make his full-time Supercars debut alongside veteran David Reynolds.

Payne will race with the #19, which alongside Reynolds’ #26, combines in homage of Penrite’s founding year.

PPG also supplied the paint for the new cars.

The team will also feature backing from Grove Hire, Ford, Steadfast, NED Whisky, Gates, Jax Tyres & Auto, Southcott, Apex Steel, Dasher + Fisher, ACL, Snap-On, Velocity Truck Centres, Graphic Art Mart, Mactac, PPG, Autodesk, OMP, Raceline Racewear, Coregas and Topo Athletic.

The team will shake down its first Gen3 Mustang at Winton Motor Raceway next week.

"The launch of our Gen3 Mustang liveries mark a significant milestone for our team and category,” team owner Stephen Grove said.

"It’s always exciting to see the design concept when it presents on a render, but to see it come to life on our Gen3s is something quite special.

"The team have done a fantastic job getting them prepared; from the engineers and mechanics to the commercial team.

"It’s a testament to their continued commitment during what has been a challenging period with the Gen3 build.”

2022 was a moving year for the team, with Reynolds finishing eighth overall with seven podiums and two poles.

Penrite Racing secured fifth overall in the teams’ championship in the very last race in Adelaide.

"The cars look fantastic,” Team Principal David Cauchi said.

"I am immensely proud of the team for the work they have put in over the past few months to get them to this point.

"There is still work to be done as we look ahead to our upcoming test days.

“But I believe we will be in a position to build upon the results we obtained in 2022.”

The 2022 season ended with the team securing the coup signing of Garth Tander for the 2023 enduros.

Five-time Bathurst winner Tander will also mentor Payne through his maiden season in the top flight.

"I’m super excited to get behind the wheel of these cars,” Reynolds said.

"They look so epic, and I think they’ll look even better on track.

"The whole team here have done an awesome job — they say that stripes make you go faster so let’s hope that rings true.

"It’s great to have the support of Penrite and Ford again along with all our other sponsors it means a lot that they stayed with us.”

Payne added: "It’s great to see the cars track ready for the first time.

"To see my name and number on the cars is pretty special.

"I am glad to be able to share this moment with the team whose support has been extraordinary.

"I am keen to be alongside Dave and learn from him as well as Garth whose experience will be invaluable."

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle on March 10-12.
