A "thrilled" Riana Crehan will return to Supercars pit lane reporting duties in 2022.

Supercars Media confirmed fan-favourite Crehan will return to the microphone this season.

Crehan, the wife of Shell V-Power Racing Team driver Will Davison,

is part of the star-studded 2022 broadcast team.

She became a feature of the broadcast team in 2007, initially as part of the big screen coverage.

The popular presenter later moved into a TV role, and played a key role in story-telling from pit lane.

Most recently, Perth-born Crehan has appeared on the Seven Network’s popular reality programme SAS Australia.

"After a whirlwind few weeks of quick and abrupt change, I am thrilled to be back presenting with the Supercars family," she said.

"This news will come as a surprise to some and still, even myself, but the fan support has been consistent and very uplifting.

"So, to everyone who has reached out and encouraged me personally and pushed for my return, I thank you.

"Despite 12 months away from the sport, I have remained connected to it throughout.

"I look forward to bringing the supporters at home the best coverage possible alongside the racing that we all know and love.

"The future is so bright for the Supercars and I am honoured to be a small part of it once again."

Supercars Head of Television Nathan Prendergast was delighted to welcome back Crehan.

"We’re thrilled to have Riana back in pit lane and part of the TV team again in 2022," Prendergast said.

"Riana is one of the most experienced reporters in Australian motorsport.

"Her knowledge of Supercars and ability to broadcast in one of the toughest live sporting environments, makes her a natural choice.

"We’re looking forward to another big year of taking fans into the heart of our racing.

Crehan was a feature of pit lane for a decade

"Riana will play a critical role in helping us to do that across all of this year’s Repco Supercars Championship events."

Crehan will be joined in pit lane by Chad Neylon and Mark Larkham along with Supercars legends Garth Tander and Craig Lowndes.

Jess Yates returns as host, with Hall of Famers Neil Crompton and Mark Skaife co-hosts and lead commentators.

Crompton and Skaife will call all championship races in 2022.

The team will make its first appearance at this weekend’s Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will open the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship on March 4-6.
