Richie Stanaway will start the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 finale from 11th after receiving a three-place grid penalty for impeding Anton De Pasquale in qualifying.

Stanaway set the eighth fastest time in the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout, and was set to start from the fourth row alongside Saturday race winner Cam Waters.

However, the 2023 Bathurst was penalised over an incident in the earlier Boost Mobile Qualifying session.

Stanaway was investigated after he allegedly impeded Shell V-Power Racing Team driver Anton De Pasquale, who ended up 12th in qualifying.

Having been hit with a three-spot grid penalty, Stanaway drops from eighth to 11th on the grid, with Brodie Kostecki claiming pole position in the Shootout.

James Golding, Ryan Wood and Thomas Randle move up one position each to eighth, ninth and 10th respectively.
