Sportsnet® Holidays, Asia Pacific’s leading sports travel and experience provider, and Supercars, Australia and New Zealand's leading motorsport competition, are pleased to announce a new partnership with Sportsnet being appointed as the Official Travel and Tours Partner of the Repco Supercars Championship.

Designed to enhance the fan experience and ensure attendance is as seamless as possible, Sportsnet will create an exclusive white label platform for Repco Supercars Championship customers to purchase travel and ticket packages. This multi-year partnership is set to significantly enhance the fan experience while driving increased visitation to Supercars events and host cities.

The new partnership between Sportsnet and Supercars, known as ‘Supercars Travel’, is backed by Supercars' research that showed a strong interest by fans in cross-border travel to attend their favourite events.

Under the Supercars Travel brand, fans worldwide will be able to attend Bathurst 12 Hour and any Australian and New Zealand Championship rounds. In 2024 these events have included the Bathurst 500, Melbourne SuperSprint, Taupō Super400, Perth SuperSprint, Darwin Triple Crown, Townsville 500, Sydney SuperNight, Tasmania SuperSprint and Sandown 500, with Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 500 and Adelaide 500 events still to come this year.

These exclusive Supercars Travel packages will include event tickets, accommodation, hospitality, functions and/or exclusive spectator experiences. Sportsnet Holidays, as Supercars Travel, will manage a panel of authorised resellers on behalf of Supercars.

Sportsnet CEO Daniel Cecconi expressed his delight with the deal which would see more Supercars fans attend more Repco Supercars Championship events driving attendance and visitation: “We are incredibly excited to partner with Supercars. By offering comprehensive travel packages that include accommodation, event tickets, exclusive experiences and the like, Sportsnet will make it easier and more appealing for Supercars fans to attend races, which in turn will boost tourism and economic activity for host cities as well as Supercars.”

To market the packages, Sportsnet will develop, sell and fulfil the event packages through a dedicated Supercars Travel website. This will directly target Supercars customers who are looking for event experiences to be more seamless with an itinerary organised for them.

“Our partnership with Sportsnet Holidays is a game-changer for both our fans and the cities that host our events”, said Supercars Chief Operating Officer, Tim Watsford.

“By offering curated travel packages, Supercars Travel will make it easier than ever for fans to immerse themselves in the excitement of Supercars while also exploring the unique attractions and culture of our host cities. This collaboration not only enhances the overall event experience but also supports local economies by driving tourism and encouraging visitors to stay longer and experience more of what these fantastic locations have to offer.”

The Supercars Travel platform can be accessed via travel.supercars.com, currently taking expressions of interest as they count down to the official launch later this month which will include travel package opportunities for the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season, and beyond.
