A two-win weekend at the Australian Grand Prix has helped Triple Eight Race Engineering claim Live Pit Lane honours for the upcoming ITM Taupō Super440.

Triple Eight turned a 26-point deficit into a 165-point lead over Tickford Racing, with Will Brown and Broc Feeney first and second for the weekend in Melbourne.

Having taken the lead, Triple Eight's two Red Bull Ampol Chevrolet Camaros will head the field out of pit lane in New Zealand on April 11-13.

Triple Eight will occupy the first two garages in New Zealand, but the next six will be taken up by Ford Mustangs from Tickford, Walkinshaw Andretti United and Dick Johnson Racing.

Matt Stone Racing, meanwhile, has vaulted from a lowly 12th in Sydney to sit fifth heading to New Zealand, courtesy of a stunning weekend in Melbourne.

Cameron Hill won his first race and finished third for the weekend, while Nick Percat reeled off two podiums to sit fourth overall. Hill and Percat are now eighth and 10th in the drivers' standings.

The biggest loser was Erebus Motorsport, which ended the weekend 11th of 12 two-car teams, and just 20 points ahead of Blanchard Racing Team.

Jack Le Brocq was turned around on Thursday and crashed heavily on Friday after contact with Ryan Wood, while Cooper Murray was a Saturday DNF after a collision with Macauley Jones.

After New Zealand comes Tasmania, which shifts from August to May, before trips to Perth, Darwin, Townsville and Ipswich before the 2025 season shifts to enduro mode.

The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship will resume in New Zealand at the ITM Taupō Super 440 on April 11-13. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
