  • DJR veteran Will Davison has finished last 62 Supercars races

  • Two-time Bathurst winner has just one DNF in last 122 race starts

  • Jamie Whincup finished 136 straight races between 2013 and 2018

A noted fitness fanatic, Will Davison has carved out a reputation in recent years as Supercars' most consistent finisher, a streak which has flowed into 2025.

The Dick Johnson Racing driver has recorded 62 straight finishes since crashing out of the 2022 Bathurst 1000, which is his only DNF in 122 starts since rejoining DJR in 2021.

It has been a stunning turnaround for Davison, who before rejoining DJR in 2021, had recorded 46 DNFs in 454 starts between 2004 and 2020.

New DJR teammate Brodie Kostecki has also recorded just three DNFs in 115 starts since joining Supercars full-time, and two of them were reliability-related with Erebus Motorsport last year.

Davison was one of a record 12 drivers to finish all 24 races, along with champion Will Brown, Broc Feeney, Chaz Mostert, Thomas Randle, James Golding, Nick Percat, Andre Heimgartner, David Reynolds, Mark Winterbottom, James Courtney and Macauley Jones.

Already in 2025, Courtney has recorded a DNS after crashing out of Melbourne practice, while Richie Stanaway (Sydney), Jack Le Brocq and Cooper Murray (Melbourne) have recorded DNFs.

Davison's fellow veteran Courtney has, however, recorded the best average position gain per race so far this season.

Only Davison, James Golding and Broc Feeney finished every race since the beginning of 2023, marking perfect finish records in the Gen3 era. Feeney, however, was disqualified from the 2023 opener in Newcastle.

Golding's last DNF came at the 2022 Adelaide 500, with the PremiAir Racing driver now on a 59-race streak. Of active drivers, only Davison (62), Golding (59), Feeney (57) and Nick Percat (54) have 50-plus race finish streaks.

However, Davison, Golding, Feeney and Percat have a long way to catch the record held by seven-time champion Jamie Whincup's record.

Whincup finished 136 a staggering consecutive races between Gold Coast 2013 and Adelaide 2018. In that stretch, he won the 2013, 2014 and 2017 championships.

Davison is 13th in the Repco Sprint Cup standings, albeit 39 points behind 10th-placed Percat, heading to the next round in New Zealand. Tickets for the ITM Taupō Super 440 are on sale now.
