The all-star Supercars cast for 12 Hour

10 May 2022
12 cars will feature a Supercars driver

There will be a significant on-track Supercars presence at the upcoming LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour.

The event returns after a two-year absence, with Bentley winning the last edition in 2020.

This weekend’s event features 20 entries, with four major marques to battle for overall Pro-Am honours.

Of the 20 entries, 12 feature at least one driver who has raced a Supercar in the last year.

Six entries feature active Supercars drivers; two entries feature two full-time stars each.

All up, 16 drivers who competed at last December’s Repco Bathurst 1000 will race on Sunday.

Team 18, Matt Stone Racing, PremiAir Racing and Blanchard Racing Team won’t have representation.

Every other Supercars team, either full-time or co-driver, will have a driver in the race.

Shane van Gisbergen and Broc Feeney headline Triple Eight’s Mercedes-AMG entry.

The Red Bull Ampol Racing duo will be joined by royalty in His Royal Highness Prince Jefri Ibrahim.

Van Gisbergen won the 2016 race from pole

Cam Waters and David Reynolds will share an Audi with Tony Bates.

Audi’s seven-strong line-up also features reigning Great Race winners Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth.

The duo won’t race together; Mostert will be joined by Liam Talbot and Fraser Ross.

Holdsworth, meanwhile, will be joined by Marc Cini and veteran Supercars co-driver Dean Fiore.

Brad Jones Racing co-drivers Fiore, Dale Wood and David Wall will also compete.

Wall will be joined in a Lamborghini with long-time Shell V-Power Racing Team co-driver Tony D’Alberto.

D’Alberto was one of two Shell V-Power co-drivers in 2021; the other was Alex Davison.

Davison will be joined in a charity-backed Porsche by two-time 12 Hour winner Craig Lowndes.

Lowndes and Davison will race the Porsche with backing from Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Donations can be made here.

Nick Percat will also race an Audi; Percat scored class honours for MARC at the 2020 race.

Lowndes (C) won in 2017 with Jamie Whincup

MARC’s line-up will feature Super2 duo Declan Fraser and Zane Morse.

Will Brown and Jack Perkins, who will share an Erebus Supercar later this year, will race a Mercedes with Mark Griffiths.

Cars will hit the track on Friday, which will be headlined by a first-ever night practice.
