There were some cracking individual performances in 2021, but one shone brighter than the rest.

Part 1 of Supercars.com’s list included two awesome winning performances, and three epic charges from behind.

Part 2 highlights five blockbuster drives, one of which will remain in Supercars folklore for years to come.

One driver also clinched a unique double, scoring Bathurst victory from pole and a Sydney podium from 26th and last.

5) Will Brown, Sydney Race 28 (4th to 1st)

Picture this: you’re 23 years old and leading a race, with over 1000 races and 170 wins of experience hunting you down. That was the case for Brown, who denied a squabbling Jamie Whincup and Shane van Gisbergen to secure his first race win by less than 0.3s in Sydney.

4) Shane van Gisbergen, Sydney Race 29 (4th to 1st)

Van Gisbergen was forced to double-stack early in the 250km Sydney race, and dropped towards the back of the top 10. However, Red Bull Ampol Racing used its Super Soft tyre strategy to perfection, with van Gisbergen mowing down the opposition in the closing laps. Such was his charge, that he was in the lead with two laps to go, having earlier been over 30 seconds from the lead.

3) Chaz Mostert/Lee Holdsworth, Bathurst Race 31 (1st to 1st)

As far as outright pace in a single race goes, Mostert and Holdsworth were a benchmark in 2021 at Mount Panorama. However, they were fast all weekend, with Mostert also scoring the fastest ever Supercar lap, in the shootout no less. They combined to lead 106 laps and even survived a mid-race puncture to cruise to Walkinshaw Andretti United’s first Bathurst win since 2011.

2) Chaz Mostert, SMSP Race 25 (26th to 3rd)

Mostert had it all to do after being excluded from qualifying. As rain fell over Sydney Motorsport Park, Mostert battled to the front through the trying conditions. By the time the race was red-flagged, Mostert was somehow third behind Whincup and Anton De Pasquale. A charge of epic proportions.

1) Shane van Gisbergen, Sandown Race 3 (17th to 1st)

Any day you race from 17th to victory is a good day. But doing it with a broken collarbone and ribs? Superhuman. There were many performances in 2021 by van Gisbergen that typified his charge to championship glory, but his sensational Sandown comeback was nothing short of a miracle, and set up his title bid.
