Who will be next?

22 May 2014
Already 10 different winners from 16 races in this season's super-tight V8 Supercars.

In just 16 races, incredibly 10 different V8 Supercars drivers have stood on the top step.

Last year we saw 14 different full-time winners across the season -so there's every expectation more names will be added to the 2014 list.

Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup and Mark Winterbottom all have three wins each so far. All the others -Fabian Coulthard, Scott McLaughlin, Lee Holdsworth, Jason Bright, Chaz Mostert, Shane van Gisbergen and James Courtney - are one apiece.

But the big question is - who next?

Those who recorded wins last season who haven't yet backed up in 2014 include The Bottle-O's David Reynolds, Holden Racing Team's Garth Tander, Norton Nissan driver James Moffat and Will Davison, who has switched to Erebus Motorsport V8.

Davison last year won at Pepsi Max FPR -and his replacement, Mostert, took his first victory of the season and second in his V8 Supercars career in Perth on Sunday.

Mostert's 2013 win was at Dick Johnson Racing - the team is yet to win again this year.

Of those who have not stood on the top step, arguably Russell Ingall has been close, with his charge at Winton stopped by a penalty and his top three qualifying efforts in Perth looking positive.

Meanwhile David Reynolds sits ninth in the Championship and is the only top 10 driver yet to win a race in 2014.

This time last year, there had only been seven different winners -all except Davison have finished first this time around - and instead of an event at Winton, the Austin 400 in Texas was one of the first five rounds.
