Supercars CEO Shane Howard, Repco's Mitch Wiley, Foxtel's Patrick Delaney and Seven's James Warburton also addressed invitees.
The function also featured a look ahead at the 2023 introduction of the Gen3 ruleset.
"At the heart of everything we do is motor racing," Howard said.
"The 25 drivers standing here are among the best in the world.
"We have two committed manufacturers and totally professional race teams.
"They are fighting for sheep stations. They are there to win.
"I'm looking forward to an amazing championship. There will be drama, I can guarantee that."
