Supercars fans on the Gold Coast will have the opportunity to take in the iconic Repco Bathurst 1000 from one of Australia’s most iconic locations this Sunday as part of an activation leading up to the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

Set on Burleigh Hill with the Pacific Ocean serving as a backdrop, Supercars will host fans in John Laws Park for a special watch party of Australia’s Great Race on Sunday.

The event leads into the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, which returns to the streets of Surfers Paradise October 27-29.

Last week the iconic surfboard clock in Surfers Paradise was wrapped in the bold colours of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 and began counting down to the popular event, which is now just three weeks away.

Along with the big screen live broadcast, fans who attend the Burleigh Hill event this Sunday will also have access to food and drink options and kids games in the SuperKids Zone.

The Gold Coast Muscle Car Club will also be holding a car cruise to Burleigh Hill on Sunday, followed by a show and shine event as the Great Race gets underway at 10:15am local time (11:15am AEDT in Bathurst).

Showcasing Supercars’ most prestigious race at one of the Gold Coast’s most scenic locations, the event at Burleigh Hill opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. AEST on Sunday, October 8 and is free to enter for all ages.

Following the Repco Bathurst 1000, the Repco Supercars Championship will next hit the track in Surfers Paradise at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, October 27-29.

Tickets to Queensland’s largest annual sporting event can be purchased via Supercars.com and Ticketek.
