Cam Waters says "I'll be at Tickford next year"
Waters has been with Tickford in main game since 2016
Ford star to make NASCAR Cup debut next weekend
Cam Waters has committed to Tickford Racing for 2025, responding to recent speculation over his future.
Waters, who will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut next weekend, has been part of silly season rumours in the last two seasons.
Last year, the 2015 Super2 champion was linked to moves to arch-rival teams Triple Eight Race Engineering and Walkinshaw Andretti United.
However, Waters was confirmed alongside Thomas Randle in the lead-up to the 2024 season, with the Monster Energy Ford driver recently winning in Perth.
He has made two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts this year, suggesting a Stateside shift could one day become a reality.
However, when asked about his future on SEN’s The Driver’s Seat radio program, Waters replied: “I'll just be where I am now.
“I like reading all the speculation and all that stuff. I have a laugh to myself, so does my team. But, yeah, I'll be at Tickford next year.
“Hopefully do a bit of overseas racing like I have this year, maybe, and the Sprintcar stuff as well.
“This year has been a lot of fun with a bit of racing on the side, and the main focus is the Supercars Championship.”
It comes after Tickford CEO Simon Brookhouse recently told V8 Sleuth that Waters was going nowhere for 2025, saying: "Cam has got a contract for 2025 with us. He is fully committed to that."
Waters will steer a wildcard RFK Racing Ford Mustang in Sonoma on June 9 before returning to Australia.
The Tickford driver is third in the championship heading to the betr Darwin Triple Crown on June 14-16. Tickets for the event are on sale now. International viewers can follow all the action on Superview.
