The Gen3 prototypes have trialled LED information panels in their latest track time in Bathurst.
LED panels have been fitted to both the Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang prototypes.
The two cars ran without the panels during the Thursday run at Mount Panorama.
That run was the first track time for the new Mustang, with Dick Johnson taking the wheel.
The LED information displays were placed inside the windscreens of the cars.
LED displays were previously trialled by a number of cars in Townsville in 2019.

There, the displays were placed in the rear quarter windows.
They were also used in the Dunlop Super2 Series cars in Bathurst in 2015.
Such displays are used in IndyCar and sportscar racing.
The LED boards are programmed to provide a variety of in-race information.
Notably, information can be relayed to spectators, officials and timekeepers.
Panels can display car number, in-session position, pit stop time, and even a code for the driver’s name.
The new cars will feature a number of modern innovations when they debut in 2023.
Notably, will feature a hatch in the roof to aid medical response teams, as well as a new fuel hose linkage receptacle.
A heated windscreen was also tested to great effect at Sandown earlier this year.
The prototypes are scheduled in for two more demonstrations at Mount Panorama.
The first is scheduled for Friday afternoon following ARMOR ALL Qualifying.
The cars will also hit the track on Saturday at 9:40am local time.
