Perth's historic Wanneroo Raceway is edging towards becoming the first ever circuit to host 100 Supercars races.

Western Australia will play host to the third round of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship on on April 28-30.

The Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint finale, Race 9 of the 2023 season, will be the 95th ATCC/Supercars race at Wanneroo Raceway.

Last year, the 2.4km Perth circuit joined Tasmania's Symmons Plains Raceway in the '90 club'.

Tasmania cracked 90 races last year, having first hosted the championship in 1969, and will host Round 4 of the 2023 season next month.

Perth returned to the Supercars calendar in 2022 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Symmons Plains returned in 2021, having missed out in 2020, and pushed ahead of Perth with six races across the 2021 and 2022 events.

At the end of 2019, Symmons Plains had 84 races to Perth's 89. However, events in 2021 and 2022 pushed Tasmania past Perth.

Holden won 50 races, Ford 34, Nissan three, Mazda two, and BMW, Volvo and Mercedes one each.

Sandown last year brought up its 80th race, and is still the most capped venue when it comes to championship rounds.

The Victorian venue returns to enduro mode in 2023, with September's Penrite Oil Sandown 500 the 53rd championship event at the Melbourne track.
