While Supercars teams are lapping up the Top End sunshine, the conditions couldn’t be more contrasting at another of the sport’s favourite destinations.

Snow fell yesterday at Symmons Plains Raceway near Launceston, Tasmania.

It made for some picturesque scenes at the circuit captured by local photographer Jarrod Leonard of Angryman Photography.

As Launceston even dips into negative temperatures, the Supercars brigade arrived yesterday in Darwin where winter days are routinely reaching 30-plus degrees.

The BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown will provide the next dose of racing action across August 15-16... but for now, enjoy some images from the category’s southernmost track.

The Tyrepower Tasmania round is pencilled in for November 21-22, although the calendar remains extremely fluid due to the nature of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
