Anton De Pasquale is stepping up his preparation for the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship, spending time aboard his go-kart over the weekend.

The Shell V-Power ace was joined by fellow Supercars driver Brodie Kostecki for a session at Ipswich Kart Club on Sunday.

It comes as the duo prepares for the season opener in Sydney across March 4-6.

De Pasquale also returned to GT racing to keep himself sharp over the season break, recording a

top 10 finish in the Dubai 24 Hour earlier this month.

The 26-year-old combined with father and son Stephen and Brenton Grove, along with German Sven Muller, to steer a Grove-backed Porsche to sixth overall, and sixth in GT3-Pro class.

De Pasquale and Kostecki were regulars at the Willowbank karting venue last year, following acquiring their new karts in September.

Relishing returning to their karting roots, both drivers enjoyed success in karts before perusing careers overseas.

The Erebus Motorsport driver recorded his first karting state title at 10 years of age, before relocating to America in 2011 to pursue a career in NASCAR.

The same year, De Pasquale won the Australian National Sprint Kart Championship before progressing to Formula Ford the following season.

De Pasquale, who won six Supercars races in 2021, will commence his second season with the Dick Johnson-backed squad in 2022, alongside Will Davison.

Kostecki is seeking his first Supercars career win following recording three podiums in his rookie campaign, including a second-place finish alongside David Russell in Bathurst.

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Sydney in March.
