Erebus Motorsport will make its manufacturing and repair capabilities available to the wider motorsport and motoring community, amid recent news it will supply chassis to Dick Johnson Racing.

Revealed last week, Erebus has been contracted to build Gen3 Supercar chassis for a rival team, marking a "proud milestone" for the Melbourne squad.

Erebus has flagged its intention to supply multiple teams, with DJR already revealed to have signed the team on to build chassis.

The reigning champions’ performance has been steered in part by expert fabricator James White, who has built and repaired Erebus chassis since 2017.

Notably, White built the team’s 2017 Bathurst-winning Commodore, last year’s title-winning Camaros, and this year’s Bathurst winner.

Until now, White-built chassis have been exclusive to Erebus and Image Racing, but the team is now ready to share this expertise with other race teams "looking to thrive" in the Gen3 era.

Beyond Supercars, Erebus says it is "well-prepared" to tackle diverse custom projects, drawing on White’s broad experience in car fabrication and manufacturing.

The team will offer all custom motorsport fabrication and repair work, custom car fabrication services, custom CAD design, custom machine work, and in-house 3D Creaform scanning technology for enhanced accuracy.

"We have always been proudly a race team that held our cards close to our chest with our manufacturing skills, particularly with fabrication under the lead of James White,” Erebus CEO Barry Ryan said.

"Jimmy and I have been working together on and off since 2003, back in our days at Perkins Engineering. In 2016, when Erebus moved to Melbourne, we re-established our working relationship, and James became 'Erebus'—our sole source of fabrication and manufacturing work.

“We’ve generally kept everything we do in-house and exclusively for Erebus cars. Over the years, we have repaired several race cars for other teams and manufactured a lot of control Gen3 parts for others, contributing significantly to cost savings in the initial Gen3 builds.”

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will conclude in Adelaide this weekend.
