NED Whisky and Greg Murphy Collaborate for the Drop of the Gods Edition

In a celebration of two icons, NED Australian Whisky and Supercars legend Greg Murphy have joined forces to commemorate the 21st anniversary of Murphy's legendary "Lap of the Gods" with the exclusive Drop of the Gods Edition Whisky.

This special release is the fourth instalment in NED's acclaimed Sounds of Bathurst series and is available now at nedwhisky.com.au.

A Tribute to an Iconic Moment

The Drop of the Gods Edition honours the unforgettable moment at Bathurst when Greg Murphy's incredible lap united the mountain, opposition teams and motorsport enthusiasts around the world. This exceptional whisky, crafted by the mountain itself, captures the spirit and excitement of that historic event.

The Unique Sound Ageing Process

NED Whisky's innovative Sound Ageing process sets this release apart. Hand-selected reserve grade barrels of NED Whisky were aged within a custom-built, sound-proof container at our Melbourne distillery. Powerful speakers played the distinct in-car audio of Supercars roaring around Bathurst, ensuring the sounds deeply permeated the barrels.

Our Sound Ageing projects have revealed that this unique technique enhances and highlights dark toffee and burnt maple flavours, adding greater depth of texture to the whisky. The Drop of the Gods Edition is a testament to this meticulous and groundbreaking process.

Limited Release Details

This limited run of bottles will be available exclusively through nedwhisky.com.au. Available for $79.95 at 700ml, 44.8% ABV, fans and whisky connoisseurs can secure their piece of history starting Monday 26 August.
