The new-look Gen3 Camaro ZL1 Supercar prototype has taken to Queensland Raceway for a shakedown.

The Gen3 Camaro prototype last took to the track at the Ipswich circuit for testing in January.

An all-new black 'stealth' livery has been applied to the car, which will make its first event appearance in Tasmania next weekend.

The Gen3 Camaro's public debut and subsequent testing was conducted with a chrome livery.

In line with the growing identity of the Chevrolet Racing brand name, black and gold now adorns the car.

To date, four tests have been held at Queensland Raceway; the prototype has received a number of changes since.

Notably, the chassis has been tweaked to enable greater driver comfort and vision.

It also features a new fuel nozzle system and new brakes.

The car, complete with a fully manual sequential gear change mechanism, is being driven by Erebus Motorsport driver Brodie Kostecki.

Prototype testing is also slated for the Monday and Tuesday at Symmons Plains after the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint.

The Gen3 Camaro and Ford Mustang will make their racing debuts in 2023.

Fans in Tasmania will also be in the running to win hot laps aboard the prototypes at Symmons Plains.

Series champions Marcos Ambrose and Garth Tander will conduct the laps at the Launceston venue.
