New record prior to public sale for Bathurst campsites
More than 2400 sites renewed in just three-and-a-half hours
2024 Repco Bathurst 1000 scheduled for October 10-13
There has been a record strong response to campsites renewals for October’s 61st Repco Bathurst 1000.
In just three-and-a-half hours, more than 2400 sites were renewed, setting a new record prior to public sale.
"This is obviously incredibly pleasing news on the back of our return to New Zealand being sold out," Supercars CEO Shane Howard said.
"We are immensely grateful for the support of our passionate Bathurst campers, who have locked in their spot once again for this iconic event."
Renewals for the Repco Bathurst 1000 will close at 12:00pm AEST on Tuesday April 16. Public sale will begin in early May.
In 2023, the public sale was exhausted in just 90 minutes.
This year's Great Race will be held on October 10-13, with over 7000 campsites expected to be filled for the iconic Mount Panorama event.
"We anticipate that this year's event will once again draw a significant crowd, with over 7000 campsites expected to be filled," Howard added.
"The Repco Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama is a highlight of the Australian sports calendar, and as we have seen over recent years, camping remains incredibly popular for our marquee event."
Tickets for general admission, grandstands and corporate experiences for the Repco Bathurst 1000 are now available for purchase through Supercars.com and Ticketek.
Supercars next heads to New Zealand for the inaugural ITM Taupō Super400 next week, where Saturday and Sunday ticketing is sold out.
Tickets for the opening day of the event on Friday 19 April are still available through Supercars.com and Ticketek.
