The combined 2021 Dunlop Super2 Series and Dunlop Super3 Series season will resume at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The fourth round of the season will feature on the undercard of the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperSprint in late November.

It comes after Sydney Motorsport Park was confirmed as the host venue for the resumption of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship.

The 2021 Supercars season will retain a 12-round calendar; four will be staged at Sydney Motorsport Park ahead of the six-day Repco Bathurst 1000 season finale.

The combined 2021 Dunlop Super2 and Dunlop Super3 season will end at Mount Panorama, as it did in 2020.

"As was the case in 2020, drivers and teams have had a season filled with disruption caused by COVID-19 and we thank them all for persevering through these challenges," Supercars Chief Operating Officer Shane Howard said.

"Over the opening three rounds of 2021, this combined category has delivered memorable door-to-door racing and unearthed some genuine stars of the future.

"We will now begin planning on formats and scheduling for these events and look forward to crowning new Champions at Mount Panorama in December."

Motorsport Australia has confirmed that a Series winner can be crowned following the completion of the final event of the year at Mount Panorama.

The existing championship policy will allow for a series winner to be declared, despite Super2 and Super2 competitors now facing a truncated five-event season.

"For both 2020 and 2021, we’ve all had to be flexible and adaptable in our approach to every single championship and series," Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport & Commercial Operations Michael Smith said.

"In this case, we are very comfortable in awarding both a Super2 and Super3 Series winner in 2021.

"Full credit must go to the team at Supercars as well as the competitors and teams for committing to make this season happen.

"Of course, none of it would be possible without the dedicated volunteer officials who will play a key role in delivering events for the remainder of this year."

Tony Kiernan from Dunlop said: "Dunlop’s position as both control tyre supplier and category sponsor provides us with a unique perspective of how flexible and agile we all need to be during these challenging times.

"As such we are thankful to Supercars and the Super2 and Super3 teams for making the planned Dunlop Series races possible at SMSP and Bathurst later this year."

Former 2019 Super3 champion Broc Feeney - who will shift to the main game with Red Bull Ampol Racing in 2022 - leads the Super2 standings by 51 points over Zak Best.

Nash Morris holds a 42-point lead over Erebus Academy driver Reef McCarthy in the Super3 standings.
