Super3 Series leader Cody Burcher is ready to put a heavy Practice 1 crash behind him in this morning's Boost Mobile Qualifying session.

The Super3 rookie had a heavy crash on the run to McPhillamy Park after pushing slightly off-line, with the damage ruling him out of Practice 2.

Burcher wasn't the only one to find trouble on Thursday, with Elliott Cleary and Mason Kelly also finding the wall, with the latter ruled out for the weekend after a big crash in Practice 2.

Burcher, who lives in the neighbouring city of Orange, was disappointed with his error, having won both Super3 races in February at the season opener.

"I just went in a little bit too hot at The Grate, and unfortunately I ran slightly off-line and once I was there I was sort of half saving it and then it made it to the wall," Burcher told Supercars.com.

"It was a pretty solid hit with the wall, so the boys are going to do everything they can to jump under it and get back out there."

Burcher is 126 points ahead of MW Motorsport teammate Thomas Maxwell entering the Bathurst 1000 round, with the crash costing him valuable track time.

However, the MW Motorsport crew worked until 9:00pm last night to repair the #15 Altima, which suffered extensive damage to the transaxle and the right-hand suspension.

However, Burcher is still confident that his pre-season goal of winning this year's Super3 Series is still achievable.

"Yeah obviously in terms of track time I'd say yes. I've still got the same goal, so that goal hasn't shifted at all," he said.

"It's just going to depend on how they go once they start pulling it apart, but they boys will put in every effort they can, and I have every faith that they can do it.

"Still the same goal for me, I'll go out there and I guess you learn from your mistakes, so we'll take the lesson from that one."

Boost Mobile Qualifying for Race 9 of the Dunlop Series is scheduled to begin at 9:30am AEDT.
