Jack Le Brocq was classified 24th and last after a lap 1 clash with Mark Winterbottom, which has been revealed in further detail by onboard judicial vision.

Le Brocq and Winterbottom tripped over each other exiting the Turn 4 hairpin on the opening lap of Saturday's Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 opener, which was won by Tickford Racing's Cam Waters.

Erebus Motorsport driver Le Brocq started 13th and Winterbottom 15th, with the former down the inside at the hairpin. Winterbottom remained on Le Brocq's outside exiting the corner, with the Team 18 driver getting an overlap on the Erebus Chevrolet.

Contact saw Le Brocq slide into the concrete wall, and while it was a glancing blow, the Erebus car was ultimately undone with damage, forcing a multi-lap stoppage in the garage.

Speaking after the race, Le Brocq told V8 Sleuth: "I obviously had a bit of overlap out of [Turn 4]. It was Frosty beside me... it's unfortunate.

"He just got into the rear bar, like quite a fair way in the back there."

It continued an unlucky run for Le Brocq, who missed out on a top four finish at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 following a clash with Matt Payne, before losing another strong finish at the Repco Bathurst 1000 after being caught out by an ill-timed Safety Car.

The incident wasn't referred to the stewards, with Winterbottom finishing 13th.

Erebus and Team 18 managed to get their other drivers in the top 10, with Bathurst winner Brodie Kostecki fifth ahead of David Reynolds, who drove his new TRADIE Beer Camaro to sixth in front of championship leader Will Brown.

On track action at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 continues on Sunday with Boost Mobile Qualifying at 10:10am local time/11:10am AEDT. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
