Shane van Gisbergen was humbled to receive Drivers’ Driver and fan-voted Most Popular Driver awards.
The 2021 champion-elect qualified seventh on Friday at the Repco Bathurst 1000.
It came just hours after he cut the first public laps of the Gen3 prototype Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
Van Gisbergen won 14 races and clinched the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship in Sydney last month.
The Red Bull Ampol Racing driver was awarded the Drivers’ Driver Award, having been recognised by his peers for displaying 'outstanding conduct during the course of the season’.
The defending Bathurst winner was also voted the Most Popular Driver in a fan vote.
The major awards celebrating season 2021 have been handed out during the Bathurst broadcast.
"That’s pretty awesome,” van Gisbergen said.
"It’s probably the two coolest trophies I’ve got this year, it means a lot.
"Thanks everyone, thanks all the drivers. It’s a bloody good day; get these, first one to drive the Gen3, it’s awesome.
“I’m out for words. This is awesome. Thank you."
